Detailed Itinerary

06:00 AM – Departure from Nairobi

Your safari adven­ture begins with an ear­ly morn­ing pick­up from your Nairo­bi hotel or res­i­dence. We head north­west through the scenic high­lands, stop­ping at the Great Rift Val­ley View­point for a few min­utes to admire the expan­sive views of the val­ley floor and take pho­tos.

09:30 AM – Arrival and First Game Drive

Upon arrival at the Lake Naku­ru Nation­al Park gate, we begin our game dri­ve imme­di­ate­ly. We’ll start by dri­ving toward the lakeshore to wit­ness the spec­tac­u­lar birdlife. Depend­ing on the sea­son, you may see a “pink car­pet” of flamin­gos feed­ing in the alka­line waters.

12:30 PM – Picnic or Lodge Lunch

We’ll head to a des­ig­nat­ed pic­nic site—often Baboon Cliff—to enjoy a packed lunch with a stun­ning view of the lake below. Alter­na­tive­ly, a hot lunch can be arranged at one of the lodges inside the park (Saro­va Lion Hill or Lake Naku­ru Lodge) upon request.

02:00 PM – Afternoon Game Tracking

We spend the after­noon explor­ing the park’s diverse habi­tats, from the rocky cliffs to the yel­low-fever aca­cia wood­lands. This is the best time to track the elu­sive leop­ard or find the mas­sive white rhi­nos graz­ing in the open plains.

04:00 PM – Departure for Nairobi

After a final sweep of the park, we exit the gates and begin our jour­ney back to the city.

07:00 PM – Drop-off

Arrive back in Nairo­bi in the ear­ly evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the air­port.
