Tsavo West National Park
Tsavo national park is the largest wildlife sanctuary in Kenya spanning 22,000 km² (13,671 miles). The park is split into two: Tsavo West and Tsavo East separated by a railway line. It is famous for its large elephant herds and fascinating landscapes. The beautiful landscapes of semiarid grasslands and savannah are graced by large mammals like elephants, cape buffalos, Maasai lions, bush babies, Maasai giraffes, leopards, rhinos, hippos, hartebeests, impalas, kudus, elands, and fringe eyed oryx among others. The Tsavo also has various bird species like ostriches, reed warblers, pied kingfishers, lesser kestrel, northern brownbul, etc.
